Tiny font now on iPhone5

Since downloading and installing IOS 8.0.2, sometimes an entry I make on the Calendar of my MacBookPro shows up OK there but on the iPhone5, it's in a font so small I can barely read it, even though other items on the same date are fine and in their normal readable form.

How can I make this stop happening? Thank you in advance for your expertise.

You can adjust the font size in settings. Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Larger Font. Set slider to desired size.
