MacRumors reports today that Time magazine has just bestowed a huge honour on Apple’s Steve Jobs by including him in their newly published list of the 20 most influential Americans of all time. The list is in chronological order, and Steve Jobs is at the end of the list as he is the most modern person on the list and brings the list right up to date. And just to emphasise the caliber of people nominated by Time that Steve Jobs is considered worthy of being a part of, it also includes the likes of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford and the Wright Brothers. Here’s an extract from the tribute to Jobs:

“Jobs was a visionary whose great genius was for design: he pushed and pushed to make the interface between computers and people elegant, simple and delightful. He always claimed his goal was to create products that were ‘insanely great.’ Mission accomplished.”
