While Apple CEO Tim Cook all over the news again today after penning another letter to the FBI regarding privacy matters and terrorism, he’s also given an interview to Fortune addressing wider matters, including, reports MacRumors, the prospects of an Apple car. As you might expect, he didn’t exactly give much away, but he didn’t totally discount it, either!

Here’s what Cook replied when he was asked by Fortune to debunk the various rumours that have been swirling around about Apple hiring automobile industry experts.

“Yeah, I’m probably not going to do that. The great thing about being here is we’re curious people. We explore technologies, and we explore products. And we’re always thinking about ways that Apple can make great products that people love, that help them in some way. And we don’t go into very many categories, as you know. We edit very much. We talk about a lot of things and do fewer. We debate many things and do a lot fewer.”

Cook went on to tell Fortune that Apple hiring employees from the automobile industry doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is working on an Apple Car, but that it is simply exploring “things with teams of people.”
