Anyone who knows the perils of trying to keep toddler fingers off their iPhone will be very happy to see this ingenious little plush toy from Griffin and Iceberg Kids, as featured in the Vancouver Sun. The strange green fluffy thing is called the Woogie, and is designed to enable your kids to play with your iPhone or iPod touch without damaging it in any way. The Woogie is half stuffed plush toy, and half protective case for your iPhone/iPod touch, which is kept snug and safe inside a protective pocket with a Velcro fastener. The touch-through screen enables you to choose movies, apps or music for your child to play with.
The Woogie has a built-in speaker powered by two included AAA batteries, and the toy's six arms can be tucked underneath it so that it can be viewed easily or propped up in a child's lap. Griffin says that it is suitable for children from three years upwards.
You can get your Woogie here for $19.99 (currently only shipping within the US though, unfortunately), and download the free Woogie Sesame Street Sampler App here.
