I think I bought an unlocked iphone in the UK last December.

The Model is MD235B and the Serial Number is DP1GPCSNDTC0. However, after a couple of days when I am back to China, I found that when I inserted a new Sim card run by a Chinese newwork operator, it indicates as follows "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported."

I searched the basic reason and it would be something like it is an unlocked iphone.

Q: Whether mine is an unlocked one? and What I can do right now?

Thank you

Google to see if a Garvey sim will help.

If not ask the original owner to request an unlock from their network.

There are sites out there that offer unlocking solutions but personally I'm a bit wary of these.

One solution is to sell this handset on and purchase another that is open or able to accept your sim card.
