Syncing contacts

Has anyone had any problem transferring contacts fro goggle contacts? It won't accept me username and password.
I know that they are right. Is there something in the setting I need to change. Any help would be great.

I setup gmail as exchange server account and all my emails, contact and calendars works with no problem at all.

I have gmail as my email account. I tried setting it up as mirosoft exchange But what do I put as the server
