Synch is off yet contacts reappear?

I have an iphone4 and a heavy user of contacts.

In the beginning, I synched via itunes to a yahoo account. I quit doing all synching via the itunes INFO tab many months ago. Instead, I now have a cadDAV acct to Yahoo which works fine.

Life is good until I synch via itunes to pick up my podcasts etc.. Despite that all synch options are turned off under itunes INFO tab. About a dozen contacts reappear on the phone.

I have carefully controlled this test to make sure this is where they are coming from. I have reset synch history and all CONTACT synching is turned off.

Where are these coming from? How can I make them stop reappearing from itunes?
It is like the move...Night of the Living Dead.....

when you plug you iphone back up to you itunes itll back it up completly your pics your contacts your messages etc. it wont erase it because itll back it up first..
What's more, I share a page about how to transfer contacts from iPhone to computer, which can help you backup all iPhone contacts and contact photos from iPhone to your computer and keep them safe on the computer.
