SwiftKey

Ok. First add swift key and allow access and move it to the top position. Then swipe left on the English keyboard. It will give you the option to delete it. Yes it remains on the phone as phone as one of the default keyboards and is still their for passwords. But that is understandable. Here's a pic of what our should look like when done.

I also had trouble with Swiftkey on iPhone 6 and iPad Air. They would not come up as the first keyboard. Had to hit the Emoji button twice to make it come up. Finally, I was typing with it and bumped something on the screen and the Apple keyboard came back up. I deleted the app from both. Too much trouble with little benefit for me.

I went back to the original keyboard too.
