sprint phone on verizon

when i get my 5s on verizon next month I want to give my Sprint 4s to my girlfriend. She has a 4 and is grandfathered into Verizons inlimitied data.
Can I flash my Sprint 4s for her to use on Verizon so she can have a 4s and not a 4?

What would happen if she took out the "sim" card from her current Verizon phone and put it into the Sprint 4s?

She'd have to unlock it. Even though it's a CDMA to CDMA carrier, you still need to unlock it. IMEI unlocks for the 4S on a CDMA locked carrier such as Sprint or Verizon is at least $100 if not $130+. The cheapest method to getting it unlocked is to get an interposer like the R-SIM to slip underneath your Verizon SIM card.
