In this video, we revisit the tweak External iPod Controls. Lately, this has been one of my most used tweaks on my devices and helps a lot while driving. This tweak allows you to skip songs on your device while a song is playing on your iPod app. your screen doesn't even have to be on, you just press volume up or volume down to skip. Holding the volume button will allow you to still change the volume. Great tweak for driving or if your device is in your pocket. Check out External iPod Controls in Cydia.

What does this do that activator, for free, doesn't?

My only problem with the activator iPod controls is that try don't seem to work they well with the screen off. A quick press to turn them on solves that problem tho.

Sell me on this over activator, please.
