Screen Auto Lock set to never but still locks

Great forum. Brand new iPhone user here. Finally had to give up on webOS. Its a 4 with 5.0.1. Can anyone help with this? I still have to slide the slider to unlock it after pressing home. Thanks.

The Auto Lock settings just keep you from having to enter your password when the iPhone wakes up. The slider is always there when it wakes up.

...which is a safety to keep the phone from accidentally being turned on in your pocket and calling Antarctica.

Thanks guys. I assume the sleep mode is enough to keep it from dialing antarctica, no? lol There isnt a hack for this after jailbreaking it, is there? (if someone ever releases an untethered JB for iOS5)

I remember there was a tweak that kept your screen on constantly back on iOS 4. Unfortunately I can't remember the name and I don't know if its been updated to iOS 5...
