Ringer notification - cause?

Lately whenever I touch the up or down button on the side of my iPhone 13 I get the ringer message shown. Don’t know what it means. Would like to make it stop showing up. Please help. Thanks!

Have you got the Mute Switch turned on?

Wow! I did have it on but didn’t know it. I found instructions, found the switch, and turned it off. Problem solved! Thank you so much!!
