Restoring a replacement I Phone

I have insurance on my I Phone 5. If it is lost or stolen it will be replace.
How do i reinstall the contacts? The e mail?
How and where can I store all this info in case I might need it some day?

I have Gmail so when I need to activate it automatically syncs up. HOWEVER I back up my phones through iTunes so if I get a new phone or a replacement I restore from back up in iTunes and all is transferred!
