Renegade ringtone

Hi! I have an unlocked and jailbroke 3g iPhone. I had the "Tri-tone" set for the default text tone notification for when I received a text. I also had a ringtone (the Nebraska Fight Song) that I downloaded using a UnlimTones app. Suddenly the phone decided to set the downloaded ringtone as the default text tone for the phone. No matter how many times I reselect the "Tri-tone" sound as my default text tone every time I receive a text the Nebraska Fight Song sounds (to all of you Nebraska fans, I don't dislike the tone, I just want to use it only for my friend's ring tone rather than the default text tone). Can you please help me to fix the problem? I think my phone has become like the computer "HAL" in 2001 A Space Odyssey". Thanks.

I forgot to add that the ringtone is not in my itTnes so I can't do anything to fix the problem through iTunes.
