Removing contact from "list"

Hi

I removed one of my contact's 3 email addresses but this address keeps appearing in the "auto fill" list when I type the address manually.
The list I am referring to is the one that appears each time you want to compose a new email and start typing the first letters of the "to" address in the address field.
(This list appears so you dont have to type the entire address each time you choose to input it manually)
How do I get this address removed from this "list"?

Well, that thread is still correct - its impossible to remove addresses from that AutoFill list. It's one of the Mail "features" that Apple has seen fit to leave on an iDevice, despite many years of complaining by many users. Sorry.

However, if you are jailbroken, you can install and run the free jail break tweak called "AutoFill Eraser." This will clean up the e-mail autofill entry list.
