Push Notification fix?

Hi

I have an unlocked iPhone 3GS with iPad baseband 06.15.00 running on iOS 5.1.1. My push notification works fine for the mail app, but not for any other app, including WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. Can someone tell me how to fix that? I googled and found the SAM method, but it didn't work. Any ideas?

The only way to fix it now is by jail breaking your phone. Bc you have 5.1.1 you will be able to get an app to set ringtones for any app on your phone . I have a jb iPhone 5 running 6.1.2 but the app I downloaded from cidya isn't compatible with 6.1.2. Hopefully apple will fix this issue with iOS 7 upgrade but not sure.
