Problems syncing with itunes new verizon iphone4

Hello!

Very frustrated!

Have tried to sync with itunes for two new iphones we just got through Verizon. Both said they couldn't sync as the computer (windows based) cannot read the iphone. It told us to reset to factory settings. We called Apple who told us to go ahead and do this. We did it and it seemed to sync. Then we tried again after downloading a couple of new apps to see if it would sync them to the computer - and it came up with the same message again that it couldn't detect the iphone and to reset to factory default settings! Any ideas?
 
Might be worth trying to uninstall and reinstall iTunes itself on your computer. That might help.
 
Is this the same computer that you activated the phones on? If not, is itunes updated to the latest version?
 
I had to reinstall iTunes twice with a AT&T phone before I got it running correctly. You can also try setting a new password.
 
Make sure you don't have Wi-Fi Sync installed on your computer...it basically makes it so you can't sync or restore on the latest iTunes.
