Problem: I have iTunes Credit, but purchases on iPhone charged to credit card

Please let me know where the setting is that will let me buy apps on my new iPhone 4S using the credit I have on file with iTunes from gift cards. Most of my friends say they are able to load an iTunes gift card on their account, and app purchases deduct from that credit. Mine just charges to my credit card. I tried to find a thread on this topic, but had no success. If I overlooked it, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Remove your credit card info, use the credit, then put your info back in.
