PowerA soon to release limited edition Star Wars iPhone cases

If you don’t have an iPhone just yet, and you are a Star Wars fan, you might want to reconsider purchasing one, after you hear this news. PowerA is planning to release a series of limited edition Star Wars iPhone 4/4S cases!

Here is what the vice president of product development and marketing for PowerA had to say about the cases:

"Mobile phones play a huge part in the lives of so many, and for the last 35+ years Star Wars has been a prominent part of mainstream culture. These innovative and high quality cases inspired by classic Star Wars art and characters are eye-catchers for fans of the franchise."

This is not some amateur attempt to attract SW fans over to Apple. The cases have been officially approved and licensed. The quality of the cases is reported to be a very good one, as they can stand the test of drops and knocks.

There will be six designs available and each come with very special details of its own. For example, the R2-D2 is engraved with details that give off a more authentic feel. The Chewbacca comes equipped with actual fur plus two original “Star Wars” movie posters.

The six models are expected to be released this year. The Collector Cases will probably get a price tag around $40, while the Saga Cases are going to be little cheaper, prompting fans to spend about $30 on them. So, George Lucas fans, watch out for these collectables!
