The. Vulcan needs new main wing spars and there is no money to pay the multi million Pound bill for that. The wings would have to be completely disassembled and newly manufactured wing spars installed.

These massive guys fly into Hilo International Airport from Oahu on training missions, making touch-and-go landings and go-arounds. This video shows a takeoff and TAG landing, but not at Hilo Airport. I hope to video one on my iPhone soon …

I took this (rather grainy) photo back in 2015 at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in the UK when Vulcan XH558 made it’s penultimate air display before being grounded, and it flew in formation with the RAF Red Arrows display team….. it’s from the same show featured in Pinkpoison’s video above.
