Places folder in photos app

can one hide the places folder in photos on iphone 6
Is that possible Please.I don't find any use for it really.

There's nothing you can do about it. This is a feature of the Photos app, and the album can't be removed or hidden.

Just a second thought. What would happen to the photos in that folder if I deleted them would they delete from everywhere?

Removing them from Places will remove them from the other albums as well.
