Places/Faces etc on Photos

Hi. I Hope this isn't a silly question but it has bamboozled me and I don't have a clue. I have seen that you can sort pictures taken by places and faces on the iPhone4s but the options for places/faces etc does not come up on the bottom of my screen. I have not got a clue how to get this so I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me?
