phone will not ring

I recently switched from rogers cellular service to mts service. my texting and data is fine, but my phone will not ring when someone calls me. I can call out just fine. my ringer is turned on high and the button on side of phone is not red.
any suggestions? also the do not disturb is all fine.ty

Have you gone to Settings>Sounds>Ringer And Alerts to check if the volume slider is all the way to the left, which would mean that you won't hear the phone ring when someone calls you. Move it to the Center position and see if that helps.
