phone not got sound only vibrate when text or rang?

Hi ppl. i was wondering if anyone has come across phone sound not working when being text or rang, it vibrates and if i go into sounds they are there and i hear them ?

More than likely the silent switch on the left is in silent mode. Just flip it forward and you should me good to go!
