There's no doubt that an app like SnapChat gained its popularity due to users being able to quickly share a moment in their lives. Following behind, apps like Meerkat and Periscope also allow users to share important moments. Except with these apps, the host is streaming live rather than sending a message.

Just ahead of Apple's big announcement tomorrow, a new report from TechCrunch claims that Periscope has been working closely with the fruit company to create its own app on the new Apple TV. While the report doesn't go into too much detail, Periscope is owned by Twitter, a company which has worked closely with Apple in the past.

We're sure that the Periscope app for Apple TV won't allow users to record from inside the home. We believe that the Apple TV Periscope app will be mainly used for viewing content from users streaming on an iPhone.

We do think it's pretty cool that Apple TV owners will be able to travel to another part of the world, or a experience an event, within the safety of one's home. We'll see if Periscope will demo its app at Apple's Hey Siri event tomorrow, starting at 10 AM PST.
