Before Android Wear or Apple Watch, the Pebble was the first smartwatch that hit the mass market with much approval. While struggling a bit in the market, folks still might choose the most recent color screen Pebble Time model over other smartwatches, because of battery life and price.

For those still looking for an entry level device in the smartwatch market, the Pebble Time is now 25 percent off. The original $199.99 price tag has been brought down to $149.99 for the base model only, leaving the The Pebble Time Steel at $249.99.

It is unclear why Pebble chose to discount the Pebble Time so early before the holiday quarter. Reports of financial troubles have been seen in the past. But a more likely reason is the company could just be trying to sell off some stock before the release of the Pebble Time Round.
