Over heating

Started random over heating today. Completely out of the blue. Reset doesn’t help. Very strange as haven’t updated recent!

Does it heat up enough that it goes into high temperature shut down? Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures

Phone will get warm because the chip has no ventilation, on a pc or a lap top you have a fan that cools the chip/processor down, with a mobile phone there’s no room for one

How warm is warm? In other words, is it heating up to the point that it shuts down on temperature?

Take a look at your battery usage when you have these problems. Maybe you can pin it down to a service or app running in the background etc.
