New to the forums. First time iPhone owner. Moved over from a Droid Razr Maxx. Love this iPhone 5 so far. Any tips or tricks I should know about. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I came from Android too and I'm loving my iPhone 5 so far! I can't think of any tips off the top of my head, but if you have any questions we will all be happy to answer them!

Wasn't sure how or if I was going to like it. Heard some not so good things about battery life. Coming from the Razr Maxx, I was very unsure. So far with about the same use, the battery life of the Maxx doesn't seem too much better. Everything else about this iPhone beats the droid, hands down. I am glad I made the switch.

Welcome to the Dark Side.

Their are hundreds of existing threads on here and other forums pointing out how to tweak settings to gain optimum usage.

One tip i like is that when your in safari just touch the clock at the top of the screen to scroll from where you are back to the top.

iPhone 5 newbie question here...will LTE still run in background if I am connected to wifi and I do not shut off the cell service? I have wifi at home and didn't know if I should manually shut off my cell connection or if it overrides it with a wifi connection. I didn't want to use all my data up at home. Thanks in advance for the info!

While you won't use up your data allowance while on WiFi, LTE will take over without a hitch if you lose your WiFi connection.

Also when your iPhone goes to sleep mode it will switch from wifi to Lte or 3G to save battery.
