New to iphone!!

Hello everyone!! Thanks for all the help with my previous questions....figured them out
Now, I have two more.
1) How do I shut down the apps that are running on my iphone 4?
2) where do I find the alarm?

1 press home button.
2 what alarm?

If it's the clock alarm.
Clock app, alarm is at the bottom.
Then press + at the top.
Set your time, press done.

Sleep tight.

If you mean a clock alarm, tap on utilities and then the clock. You can set up your alarms there; it works well!

Double tap the home button and you will see the multitasking bar. There you will also see all open apps, tap hold any of the apps you see there until they all start wiggling, then there will be a red minus sign at the top left of each apps, tap that sign to close all apps.
As for the alarm, you will find it in the clock app.
