The following news is hardly concrete as it is based solely on speculation; however, the idea is exciting so it's worth reporting as a rumor. The leading German carrier Deutsche Telekom recently announced their plans to offer the newer and faster LTE-Advanced network standard. This new wireless internet standard will reach a theoretical maximum of 150 Mbps, and their new network will go live shortly in over 100 towns and cities in the country.

Besides this exciting news, the press release from Deutsche Telekom also added the following,

Samsung will be offering an upgrade of its Galaxy S4 with LTE+. Comparable devices from other vendors will follow at the end of September.

Now, it is a bit of a stretch to assume that this means the new iPhone 5S will be coming with LTE-Advanced; however, there doesn't appear to be any other high profile launches of flagship smartphones coming later this month, other than the next iPhone. All of the major competitors from Android have already launched their newest "hero" devices.

Process of elimination infers the distinct possibility that the iPhone 5S is the only logical choice. It's also worth noting that two months ago, there was some intel making its rounds around the web suggesting that Apple was negotiating with Korea's SK Telecom to support LTE-Advanced on the iPhone 5S. This lends a bit of credence to this logical leap.

What do you think? If you are one of our German or Korean members, sound off if you would like to have LTE-Advanced on your next iPhone.
