New member, question about 1080p vid upload?

Hello all, i'm new on here and need some help. How do upload 1080p to youtube from the ip4s? Am i doing something wrong? Is there a setting on my macbook pro i need to configure? See, I'll record a sample video on my ip4s, connect my sync cable, and the video syncs into iphoto. I then open imovie and import the clip here and create a new project. When i go to share to youtube, it only goes up to 720p. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
