New Member... I guess

Hello. My name is Russ Hicks and I live in Plano, Texas. I've had an iPhone 3G for several years and recently upgraded to an iPhone 4S. I'm NOT an expert in smart phones.

All I wanted to know is what is the difference in green and blue text messages? I see both on my 4S, but never saw anything but green on my 3G.

with ios 5 came something called "Imessage" and basically any one on ios and the same version Imessage means the text messages you send are free and send within the instant messenger so to say of ios, the blue are the Imessage texts and the green is the ones that send via your carrier and cost how ever much your carrier charges
