New iphone user missing bbm

Hey guys
What is the best way for an iPhone user to communicate with a blackberry user. Whatsapp?

As far as I know, text using iMessage, but it will send as SMS. Blackberry Messenger does not have an iPhone App.

As a former BB user this is one of the things you will have to live with. Personally I miss BBM and the LED notification but that's really about it.

I miss BBM , it was great to have a dedicated app .
The second thing I miss with my BB is Profiles .I was nice to be able , in one click only , to turn on phone calls only .

I agree this imessenger is great but what it needs is a way to tell you it's been read even if the person on the other end hasn't activated there read button in general/settings. Sometimes you think have they read it and then they have. It should just be automatically set up.
