Apple released the iPad Air not even two weeks ago. Already we are seeing concepts of other devices, such as the iPhone, taking the “Air” path by designers for next year.

It would be no surprise if Apple were to unveil a lighter, thinner iPhone in 2014, possibly calling it the iPhone Air. Though we’ve seeing a concept for such a device last week, brightknight08 has brought his own vision of the iPhone Air in video form.

As seen in the video above, the concept designer’s iPhone Air will feature a brand new tapered design, as seen on the MacBook Air models. This iPhone Air would also sport a full 1080p HD, 4.6-inch Retina display, to support stunning movies and videos from the web.

The most interesting thing about this concept is probably the rearranged buttons found around the device. The volume buttons would be closer to the top, replacing the silent switch, which would now replace the standard power button. The silent switch would now double as the power button, which we think is quite a strange concept. Though Apple has just replaced the Home button with Touch ID, the new replacement of the Home button would have a built in proximity sensor to sense when a users phone needs to be unlocked.

Check out the video above and let us know what you think of the new iPhone Air concept.
