Back in January 2013, Twitter released its six-second video sharing social network Vine, which quickly became an internet hit. Seeing the success of Vine, Instagram decided to add video sharing to its app, allowing for up to 15 seconds of video.

Instagram's addition of videos into its app didn't get as much rave as Vine, but we like to think it was welcomed by the community. On Wednesday, Instagram updated its app to version 6.5. The new update adds looping videos on user's Instagram feeds.

Previously users needed to tap on videos to play or pause them. The video usually starts when scrolling past it automatically, but then comes to a halt at the end. Now instead of pausing, videos will loop all over again.

Instagram currently holds over 300 million active user and can be found for free in the App Store.
