Mywi 5.0 how do you get it to work???

Ok I just bought mywi 5.0 and cannot get it to work, I downloaded it to my iPhone and iPad , but want it to work for my wifi iPad , I got it connected I think I see two Cain links (that what it looks like to me ) and when I try to connect to something it will not connect , like I don't have a connection ??? Can some explain it in DETAIL to to get it working

sorry wish I could help you but for some reason my phones not tethering either... a device detects it but doesnt send it data.
