My iPhone 6 has gone completely crazy. Apps open and close by themselves. It tries to send texts. It tries to make phone calls. It clicks on links in apps. It types numbers in the calculator and in my Reminders. It stops me from making calls by typing numbers while I'm on a call. Sometimes I can't even shut it down. This happens all day long. It's like the phone is possessed!
Has anyone else had issues like this?

Heard of similar issues in the past.

If a reboot won't sort it out, best bet is to take it to Apple for diagnostics, which is free.

If it needs repairs, you'll be advised as much, but if it's out of warranty, you'll be responsible for the cost of repairs.

It's entirely possible that you may have a failing touchscreen that's causing all the spurious inputs. The diagnostic mentioned by Kevin would be able to determine that.

Sounds like touch disease. My iPhone 6 Plus has all the symptoms you've described and even gives me a grey bar along the top edge of my screen too.

Google touch disease and you'll learn all about it.
