My phone has done this twice in the last week. I just updated today to the new iOS 8.1.2, so I'm hoping that might fix it, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
I just have to connect to the internet and enter my apple ID info, and its back to normal. But it gives me this message. I have Verizon, and I don't (think I) have a SIM card....

Verizon iPhone 6’s have use SIM card for international roaming. Maybe, if you don't have one, you could ask Verizon and once inserted, the message probably won't reappear.

What would I need one for?

I haven't used roaming since I got my 6, and I don't currently have any plans to leave the country....

I just thought having a SIM card in the holder might stop the notice you keep getting from appearing.

Ohhhh. thats not a terrible idea. I'll look into it.
