This is such a broad topic.. if you're looking for just music in general technically youtube dailymotion amazon are all sites that give you music. In terms of downloading for your iPhone I suggest you just use iTunes.. other 3rd party softwares tend to not work so well with the iPhone.

It's possible to load music files to Dropbox, OneDrive or Box and play them on your iPhone. Tunebox will play the songs from Dropbox on- or even offline.

I also use Amazon Music most of the time. It shows songs from the Music app as well as those purchased from Amazon.
