Music Syncing Issues

I recently bought a new laptop. After I moved my music over and checked all the songs I wanted, I tried to sync my phone to it. I kept getting the 'not enough free space' message even though I'd had the same amount of songs before. I deleted some pictures and a few apps and tried again; same message. I went through and checked every playlist and artist I wanted and still got a message that I needed an additional 1.36 GB, even though I have 912.7 MB free. I've tried the 'automatically fill free space with songs' option, but I get the same message. Any ideas?

I'm not very good with technology, so I'm sorry if there's a really simple answer to this. Also, my iPhone is an 8GB.

Did you authorize the PC for syncing. Otherwise, it'll recognize it as another library and won't disregard the duplicates

I had not authorized it (I didn't know you had to lol). When I tried again after I authorized it the same message originally came up, but I pushed "OK" and it started syncing! Thanks
