Most good Apps not working in South Africa??

Hi guyz,

my upgrade is due in two days and i want the iphone, the problem is that i herd from sources that most good apps on iphone dont work in South Africa. is this true?

For example an app called "loopt" doesnt work on any south african cellphone network carriers.

if im to get the iphone, i need surity that the apps i want will work in south africa.

Welcome! I've not read anything about apps not working in South Africa or anywhere else. I believe that "loopt" works off the GPS or cell tower closest to you and shares your location with others who you share with. If the environment is blocking the signal it may disrupt until you relocate.

I would imagine that the vendors who sell the phones may have better insight. Another option, in America VZW has a 15 day return policy which includes a restocking fee. What is the policy in South Africa? If you purchase and the apps do not work you should be able to return.
