I can't maintain wireless connection between iphone 5 and laptop. It works sproadically when I can get it to work. Every time I turn the computer off I have to go through the hassle of reconnecting to the iphone.

Kindle Fire works like a charm!

It has to have something to do with the computer's sharing/internet settings. Sometimes the phone shows "1 connection" but the laptop is nonresponsive.

I have a similar issue, it's like it will just randomly stop transmitting. To fix it I usually have to turn the WIFI off and then back on. Does it every so often

Same problem with iPhone 4S and iPad 2. My fix it to link them by Bluetooth works every time for me.

The wifi hotspot on my iphone 5 seems to be working without any issues. Right now I am using the Hotspot Wifi to go online on my Samsung Galaxy tab 7.7, all working well.
