Joystickers’ Classics Stick to Your iPhone Screen to Give You Gaming Buttons

Check out this ingenious new invention featured on Mobile Crunch today: Joystickers’ Classics are arcade-style buttons that you can take off and stick back on at will, and are intended to give you that tactile gaming experience that some people miss with the iPhone’s touch screen. All you have to do when playing a game that requires on-screen buttons is simply place the buttons directly on top of the on-screen buttons, push them in and away you go. The buttons are held in place by a micro-suction cup material imported from Japan. It all sounds great, but there are two big spanners in the works: firstly, the inventors have not yet figured out a way to create a physical directional control to use alongside the buttons, and secondly, as this is a start-up project, the Classics won’t get made at all until the company manages to raise $25,000.
