Jailbreaking Iphone 4 with gsm = carrier unlock?

Hello all,

I have a Iphone 4 with sim card (gsm) and I need to unlock it to use with a different carrier. Will jailbreaking it also unlock it? I have done some searching and all the information I have found has been regarding the Iphone 4's without the sim card (cdma), so this is why I am asking this question. Also, the Iphone has version 7.0.2, what program would be the best at jailbreaking it if it also unlocks the carrier.

It looks like I have to jailbreak it first and then unlock it with ultrasn0w

It does not need to be Jailbroke. It can be unlocked as is.

It seems like the only way I can get it unlocked is from the carrier since it is a Iphone 4 with ios 7.0.2 and modem firmware 04.12.09.
