Hi,

I have a factory unlocked (AT&T) iPhone with ios 5.1.1 and modem firmware 04.12.01. I would be jailbreaking it with Absinthe 2.0.4.

1.Now , my question is should i preserve this baseband before i JB this phone , as in future if i need to unjailbreak this could help me.

2.Again if i unjailbreak, will my phone become locked again?

3.If so would it possible to unlock my phone?

4. Is baseband preservation needed only for ios update or its needed even for JB?

5. How can i unjailbreak my phone?

Thanks, Avi

It's Unlocked for life if you have a factory unlock...

A jailbreak is removed by Restoring with iTunes....Go ahead and jailbreak no preserving of baseband required....but saving SHSH files is always good practice...

1. If it's factory unlocked, there is no reason to ever preserve your baseband.
2. Again, factory unlocked means it is always unlocked, whether it is jailbroken or not.
3. If your phone is factory unlocked, it will always remain that way.
4. There is currently no way to restore or update an iPhone4S and preserve your baseband, but as I've already said there's no reason to anyway.
5. Unjailbreaking is as simple as hitting "restore" in iTunes.
