I like the Ceramic watch but its very pricey.
Agreed. It would have been love at first sight. 
It's certainly much more affordable than the gold Apple Watch Edition, though. I wonder if it will crack if the watch is dropped?
No, I don't think so. They certainly tested it.
Also, they said it's as hard or durable (?) as the metal watches.

I'm actually much more interested in the series 2 Apple Watch than I am in the iPhone 7.

You may be in luck. I just checked the Apple Store app and shipping time shouldn't be more than 3-5 weeks.
