An enterprising Swiss app developer called Swiss-Development has come up with the idea of combining a number of useful apps into one mega app, kind of like an iPhone version of a Swiss Army Knife, hence the name, iSwissTool. Of course, even with the app, your iPhone can’t turn itself into a corkscrew, tiny scissors or thingie to remove stones from horses hooves, so it’s not like an actual Swiss Army knife in that sense, but what it does offer is 14 different functions, designed to help you out in almost any situation (except for that stone-in-the-horses-hoof problem, you’ll still need a real Swiss Army knife for that), including currency conversion, various measurements and unit conversions, first aid tips, map coordinates and sounds tools. The iSwissTool can even be used as a light, either via its built-in LED or simply by using the display. Also included is a two-dimensional visual water level, for working out exact angles, and the ability to figure out pinpoint measurements thanks to the new dual-axis sensors. Even more functions include the ability to find the GPS coordinates of any location, as well as its altitude and temperature, and a handy-dandy alarm tool.

This ingenious tool is available to download now for $0.99/£0.59 by clicking here: iSwissTool for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store. Unfortunately the app description on iTunes is in German, even in the US and UK App Stores, but it says that English is supported in the app so you should be able to use the tool.
