I have iPhone4S. Firmware 5.1. Till 20 days ago I was able to sync iPhone over iTunes that is installed on my WinXP SP3. Now, I have problem that when connect iPhone over USB to PC ... Windows is recognizing devices and get to "Digital Still Camera" ... and at that moment I have "blue screen" and my PC going to hard reboot.

My iPhone is working fine and notebook is working fine untill iPhone gets connected.

Having look at Event Log at windows at the path Event Log > Application > I have found that Apple's Bonjour Service is having error as follows:

If I don't have connected iPhone Bonjour service is starting without any problem.

Any ideas ?

Ok, i"ll try. Just to mention, when install iTunes i have the problem. When uninstall I don't have problem. Obviously driver version ....

I had a similar issue and I think its something to do with being able to charge through USB when your computer is off, try disabling AppleCharger.sys that's what I did and have had no problems since.

How to disable AppleCharger.sys ?

Under C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\System32\Drivers there is no file with name "AppleCharger.sys". In futher, I've tried to Search under C:\ for same file and couldn't find anything ....

There is no such file under my file system....
