My friend has an iPhone 4, and she recently set up a custom mail (POP3) account using the Mail app on it. The issue she's having is that she doesn't get notifications for emails sent to her by people who are not in her contacts. She also mentioned having a VIP? setting thing that apparently overrides the default alert setting for emails.
I do not have an iPhone, and she's currently in another state, so I can't really figure out what's going on. It's driving her nuts, so here I am looking for some help from you experts.
