Hi pwnage... in accordance with our Forum rules I have closed the second thread you started regarding this same topic, in our New Members section. Please read over our rules (see my signature) and enjoy your time here at iPF.net.

You'll need an Xcode compiler. Just like everyone else has mentioned. You'll also need to buy a developers account with Apple, if you want your app released in the AppStore.

thanks and is xcode hard to learn? and how long did it take you guys? and experiences?

If you already have a background in programming specially with objective-c then it will not be hard for you to learn it, otherwise you are going to start from scratch which of course will require a lot of time or even months before you can master Xcode.

Well, i've been programming for the past 5 years. I started using Xcode last year. I can't tell you how difficult it'll be for you to learn. It just depends on your programming background and how quick you can pick up on new hobbies/tasks.

I love Xcode personally. The compiler is very intuitive and fun to use.

Google it and read up on it. When and if your ready, take the plunge and buy a Dev. Account and start programming. :)!

Xcode, objective c, cocoa touch framework and a MacBook . If u come from a strong object oriented background like java it'll be easier to pick up objective c. I've had more than 10yrs+ java background n I spent only 2-3 weeks to pick up objective c including mastering the way it allocating and releasing objects : )

there is also some websites that can help u do this with no programming language not sure how good the app will turn out though

thanks so much for all your comments. and i am soon going to take a programming classes so i will beginning learn c+ and start from there. sounds like i have alot of work ahead. and do you guys reccomend any books?

I agree with what the majority of the members said. You should use Xcode.
